Guinevere Turner and Amanda Bearse are the producers of this power up special.

POWER UP means "Professional Organization of Women In Entertainment Reaching UP". The non-profit association promotes lesbian artists in the entertainment industry and in the media. And so since 2000 many short film highlights have been created that have been shown successfully at various festivals. POWER UP films are remarkably relaxed and professionally made, have a lot of humor, are close to reality - and always cast with talented and attractive actresses. This double DVD presents all POWER UP short films from the young history of the non-profit organization - some of them as first releases! 13 strong films by strong women.

It appears that the organization is no longer active.
